The Waldhäuslalm actually got its start because of the fish pond, every bit as popular now as it was thirty years ago.
"Hunting" for fishes isn't a privilege reserved purely for the chefs at the Alm, however! In fact, at the Waldhäuslalm everyone is invited to see if they have what it takes to "land the big one"!
In contrast to public ponds, at a private pond in the mountains everyone - including kids - is welcome to fish without having to qualify first by completing a fishing course. However, children must be accompanied by an adult.
You can borrow your equipment when you are here, while the fish you catch will be prepared in our kitchen. If you wish, you can also take your fish home with you (either fresh or smoked).
If you prefer to watch others do the angling, the Waldhäuslalm is still more than happy to cook up fried trout or grilled trout filets and serve that to you on our sunny terrace.
